What to Grow in April and May
Now is the perfect time to resuscitate your garden patch, or to start that veggie garden you have always dreamed of. Here are some top tips from Cultivate London’s Grower Patricia…
What to sow at end of April:
- Direct sow: Beetroot, calabrese, broccoli, summer cabbage (such as Greyhound), cauliflower, carrots, leeks, peas, spinach, watercress.
- Indoors/greenhouse: aubergine, basil, celery& celeriac, courgette, squash, cucumbers, kale, lettuce, melons, beans, tomatoes and perennial herbs such as rosemary, sage and thyme.
Alternatively, we have a range of beautiful vegetable and herb plants available for purchase at our Nursery in Acton (Enfield Road, W3 8RA), including:
- Lettuce (mix)
